Grace Holbrook believed she couldn't have children, but now she was pregnant after just one night with sexy, bad boy Ford McCabe. She was delighted by the news, but not so thrilled when Ford insists they get married, especially when his recent return to Whitaker Falls after eleven years away is shrouded in secrets.

Ford has always wanted Grace. Even back when he was the town rebel and should have known better -- until he was blamed for the death of her brother and was shunned by the community. Now a millionaire businessman, he's back to claim what is rightfully his . . . including Grace and the baby they'd created together.

ADRI'S REVIEW:

Thank you first of all to N.K. Author Services for providing us with a copy of the book so we could bring you this review.

Ok well all know I love second chance romances and this one definitely falls under that. I love how Ford comes back to a town that brings so many bad memories for him and he still wants to do good things for the town. I like how he is trying to take negatives and turn them into positives and prove how he has changed, how he shed the bad choices of his past. Ford really shows how much he has grown up and wants a better life for himself. He only has one thing that I didn't like about him and that was how he pretty much forces Grace to marry him. He leaves her no choice in the matter.

Now Grace is a great character as well, but I might have liked to see a bit more fire and anger in her. I understand that she is trying to keep peace with her dad, but she allowed for many years the town to influence her choices. She let them pretty much dictate her past after Ford left. So I personally would have liked to see her stand up for herself and her past choices a bit more. With that said though I understand that she was young when Ford left and so much happened in her life in that short span afterward. But she was able to stand on her own two feet and do things that she loved.

Over all this is a great story with strong characters, just very small minded town. I guess in a way it is typical of some small communities that still think as if things were the way it was back in the 50's or 60's.

Happy Reading... Adri
