It starts out with your typical guy meets girl, girl thinks guy is hot, she is running from her past and then you out of nowhere, this intricate tale of lies, deceit, death and destruction begins to emerge and you are left standing there going, "How did THAT happen?!?!"
It is written in a diary type format, which is a bit confusing if you aren't paying attention. PAY ATTENTION TO THE DATES. Dylan takes you back to the night her life changed forever and brings you to the present where she meets Ethan. Ethan is dark, dangerous and sexy as hell. Dylan finds herself falling for him but who is Ethan really? He is mysterious and secretive but can't let Dylan go.
Underneath the dark, you sense he is a guy who truly loves this girl. He will do anything he can to make her happy. He just needs to bide his time before he can tell her everything.
Ethan at times, is very over-protective, then he disappears. That's where you go all hot and cold on him. Believe me though, it will make sense. Dylan is a survivor. She is strong, she is determined and I admired her greatly. This was an unexpected surprise I was not disappointed in at all. The story is wonderful, the characters are well written and their chemistry is smoking. Loved Dylan and Ethan's story and did not want to see it end.
J.W. is a stay at home mom with 2 0n-the-go kids, an amazing husband, and 1 lovable dog. She lives in a small town in Tennessee, where she enjoys writing, reading, and talking. She was told from a young age that her dreams of writing were ludicrous. However, after a talk with her daughter she pulled out her old laptop and rediscovered her desire to tell stories. She doesn’t consider herself an author, more a teller of tall tales.
