Being a single mom is hard enough, being a single mom who's child's father is a rock star? Nearly impossible! You were able to get inside Marlene's head and feel everything she was feeling, from the trepidation of an upcoming move, to her ex reappearing in her and her daughter's life. The relationship between her and her grandmother is something special and who knew Grandma was hiding her own special little secret?!?!
The chemistry between Marlene and Finn was just like it was supposed to be, comfortable. You felt that something just wasn't right with the two of them and found yourself rooting for the deadbeat ex, believe it or not. Well, at least I did.
Luke-said deadbeat ex- wants to try, he wants to make up for lost time and he does everything he can to prove himself to Marlene and their daughter. The first meeting of their daughter is sweet and I was pleasantly surprised when it went like it would in real life, not perfect.
Will Marlene choose a new life with Finn or fall in to the arms of the man that let her and her daughter down once before? You need to read this sweet story to find out!
