About the Author
Karen Booth is a Midwestern girl transplanted in the South, raised on 80s music, Judy Blume, and the films of John Hughes. An early preoccupation with rock ‘n’ roll led her to spend her twenties working her way from intern to executive in the music industry. Much of her writing revolves around the world of backstage passes and band dynamics. When she isn't creating fictional musicians, she's listening to everything from to Duran Duran to Otis Redding with her kids, honing her Southern cooking skills or sweet-talking her astoundingly supportive husband into whipping up a batch of cocktails.

Adri's Review:

Bring Me Back

In this story we are introduced Claire and Chris. We find out that Claire had a thing for Chris and his band when she was a teenage girl. Now many years later she is getting the chance to interview him and his attempt at going at it alone. Neither of them expected that the time spent together during the interview would change their lives the way that it does.

One of the things that I enjoy most about this book is that I can find myself relating to Claire and her interactions with her teenage daughter. Though she is a bit older than my own its written in a way that I can see having these same or similar conversations.

The secondary male characters for the most part makes me want to smack them. Especially her father and her daughters classmates dad. It makes me want to smack them to mind their own business and leave both Claire and Chris alone. Let them find happiness. Which is something that I really enjoy greatly about the book it pulls so many emotions out of you good or bad.

Happy Reading... Adri

Back Forever

Now this story I absolutely loved. Now not that I didn't like the first book but the emotions attached to the second book are so deep. I cried at most times reading this story. Though things between Claire and Chris are well in the book, other things going on in their lives aren't.

Claire and Chris are starting their lives together as a couple, while at the same time preparing for Claire's daughter to leave for college. In the mean time Claire's father stays with them while he helps Chris start a new venture in his new home and Claire gets offered a new job.

Richard, Claire's dad starts to act weird and this begins to worry both Claire and Chris. Can they handle what happens when they find out what it is exactly that is causing him to act different?

Something else that I enjoyed about this story was we get to interact with the secondary characters a bit more in this one. We have some interaction with Chris's band mates and Claire's sister.

Well without giving too much about the story away... I will just add that you will enjoy finding out what happens to Claire and Chris as they continue to grow as a couple.

Happy Reading... Adri
