Wanted: Wife

Wanted: A Wife
Darcy White
can't believe she's answering a help wanted ad from someone looking to hire a
wife, but she's hit rock bottom and is on the verge of being evicted from her
apartment. When she learns that the guy she had a crush on in high school is
the one looking to hire, she'd be crazy not to live out her fantasy.
Steven
McDonald needs a wife, or at least a fiancée, before his grandfather retires or
else he won't inherit the family business. He knows not just any woman will do,
and in a desperate attempt to find a solution, he places a help wanted ad in
the local paper. The day Darcy White answers it, his dreams begin to come true.
As Darcy
and Steven pretend they're engaged, they make a promise to keep things platonic.
But the more time they spend together, the harder it is to keep their hands off
one another. With his grandfather's retirement approaching, and the possible
end to their fake engagement, can Steven and Darcy admit their feelings to not
only themselves but each other?

Thank you so much for having me on your blog today! Well, me
and Darcy from Wanted: Wife.
Darcy: Hi! It’s lovely to be here.
Lacey: The
question on everyone’s mind is, why in the world did you answer an ad in the
paper for a wife? What was going through your head?
Darcy: The bills
were piling up, I was about to be evicted from my apartment. I can’t really say
how it happened, but before I knew what I was doing, I was emailing with Steven.
Lacey: If you’d
known reading the ad that he was the same Steven you had a huge crush on from
high school, would you have hesitated in answering?
Darcy: I want to
say ‘hell no!’, but you know, if I’d known it was someone I knew, I don’t know
I would’ve answered from the embarrassment alone.
Lacey: It all
worked out anyway. *smiles*
Darcy: No thanks
to the obstacles that you put in the story. Why in the world did you come up
with us trying to be platonic?
Lacey: Sexual
tension. Stuff the readers want.
Darcy: *Groans*
Ugh, I wanted to rip the man’s clothes off more times that I can count, and yet
anytime we kissed something happened. Whether it be his mom, his ex…
Lacey: Hey, like
I said above. It all worked out in the end.
Darcy: Because it
did, I’ll leave you alone.
Lacey: How is
your relationship with your parents?
Darcy: It’s
getting better. My parents still don’t get why I want to work and have a life
outside of being a house wife. But now that I am at more of their high society
functions, they are more understanding.
Lacey: How are
you adjusting being back in the rich and famous lifestyle.
Darcy: Do I
really have to admit that I like it?
Lacey: *Laughs*
No.
Darcy: Good!
Because what I said above is the closet you’re going to get.
Lacey: Thanks for
coming with me today, Darcy. I know you have a bakery to run. I bet readers
would’ve loved it if you’d brought some yummy apply baked goods.
Darcy: Come on by
The Apple Orchard Bakery anytime and I’ll be sure to give you a treat! Thank
you for having me today as well!
I like the excerpt and look forward to reading this book.
