BLOG TOUR: Black Rain by Jettie Woodruff

BLOG TOUR
BLACK RAIN
by Jettie Woodruff
Genre: New Adult

Jettie, what did you do to me this time?!?!?!
I was fortunate enough to beta this book so I've watched it grow from the beginning and let me tell you, the end result blew me away.
Jettie wrote a beautiful story with 2 of the most endearing characters I have ever read. Mikki and Pea will steal your heart. And let's not forget Blake...sigh. I think Drew found his equal, but don't tell him that.
The story is chock full of emotions and I'm not ashamed to say, tears flowed more than once while reading this book. I loved that this was one book that I didn't figure out where she was going with the story. Believe me, you think you know, but you don't. I don't know how Jettie does it. I swear each book is better than the last.
I say this with all sincerity, this is my absolute favorite Jettie book of all time. The emotions, the characters, the story, it was IT for me. This is the bar that her books will be measured from, no pressure Jettie. You know I love you!
If there is one book that will make you a Jettie fan for life, it is this one. 5 amazing stars.

Running smack into one man while trying to get to another wasn’t part of the plan. I never meant to plow into him. I was upset, running from a pain that followed me. The fact that he needed me was not only a blessing, but an omen as well. I could get far, far away from the agony and never look back. I could get to the one man I wanted to suffer, and never let him see me coming. It was the perfect plan.

I was the blinded one, oblivious to what was impending. Propositions and untied shoes, lies and runny noses, betrayal and playdates, all things I never saw coming. Unconditional love was forced down my throat, compelling me to do things I had to do. I ran.

No matter what they say, it wasn’t about the money. It was never about the money.

Jettie Woodruff is a lifelong writer, living in a pretend world since she was a little girl. Jettie spent hours filling pages of spiral notebooks with a number two pencil and a wild imagination. Her very first story was a sci-fi of all things.

Jettie writes more along the lines of deep now. She likes to keep her readers on edge, and deliver a story that will pull out every emotion possible. Writing on the edge of taboo and dark, Jettie hopes to distribute an adventure you'll not soon forget.

Married for twenty five years, raising two boys and one girl has left lots of writing material. She has recently become a grandma to not one, but two of the most beautiful little girls on planet earth.

Jettie also hates doing this bio. That's all you get. She loves to read and write. What else is there? <3

COVER REVEAL: Domesticated by Jettie Woodruff

COMING 11.13.14

I was once told that I was like an animal. Animals were naturally conditioned, just like the rodent that I was, I needed to be conditioned. Aristocrats in our class had a trained way of living. Women had their place beside their hard-working spouses and weren't allowed to rock the boat.

As a small child, I believed in the preparation requirements. Once learned, a conditioned response is hard to get past. No matter how much I tried, it was a part of me - deep within my subconscious. No matter how much I wanted it to be different, it never was, and nobody could change what had been acclimatized profoundly in my mind.

I knew what I did was wrong. I knew what I hid from the world was dirty. And I knew Garrison would never understand. However, I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t control it. No matter how hard I tried. It was always there, always a part of me, and who I was.

This book is for mature audiences only. In other words, it is F**ked up.
Read at your own risk.

REVIEW: Picked by Jettie Woodruff

Picked by Jettie Woodruff

Synopsis
It started with a game, a very different computer game, and a desire to know a life so intriguing and different from my own. I had just started to venture out with my own work at my father’s private investigating firm when our paths crossed on purpose. My purpose. I never expected things to go the way they did. I never expected him to be so nice and handsome. I couldn’t be number four. How could any woman love a man with more than one wife? Not only was it impossible, it was ridiculous. There was no way I was getting any closer. I was going to get in, dig around a little, and get out. That’s it. Does anything ever turn out the way we plan? Becker Cole’s wives were not the typical, obedient little housewives wearing aprons and submitting to him I had pegged them to be. They were cute, young and full of life. I loved them. All three of them. And somehow, I loved Becker too. Could I swallow the persona that society expected me to be and share him, or was this too much? Was I ready to be a part of this world? And if I wasn’t… could I just walk away?

Erin's Review
Throw every preconceived notion about polygamy out the window before reading this book. I mean it, just toss it. Go in with an open mind.
Only Jettie can make you fall for guys that you always said, "No freaking way! Never in a million years!" Um, hello, remember Drew???
This is the first book about multiple wives that I read and I was ready for an episode of Bad Girls Club or Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Instead, what I got was a beautiful story about Cass and Becker and the unexpected love that blossomed all because of a game.
This story is so different from anything else that I have read. I don't know how Jettie does it, but she makes you think. She makes you skirt the boundaries of everything that you think you know and opens your mind like no other author can. There wasn't a character I didn't like, with the exception of Cooper. He's a grade a jerk. But Becker is every girls dream. Sweet, attentive, funny, his only flaw...he has 3 other wives. And you don't hate them either. You want them to be your best friend. Each one brings a different dynamic to the relationship and you begin to think of them as one unit. Then there's Cass. Is she the addition, or the exception? She wears her heart on her sleeve and when she falls, she falls hard. I like Cass because she's normal. She isn't perfect. She's a bit naive, she's a tad awkward, her family is a mess and yet, she somehow holds it together. Just don't ask about the clutter in her house.
You really need to one click this immediately. It will hook you from the first chapter and you won't want to put it down. It's no secret I'm a huge Jettie fan, and after reading this, you better be too.

REVIEW: The Truth About Mack by Jettie Woodruff

Private message Jettie on FB to be let in the back door of her private group where the release day party for Mack's side will be held.

My name is McKenzie Perry. I’ve lived a life filled with secrets. Secrets that took me years to understand.
Secrets that my bestie, Gia, and I kept from the world. Secrets that only I knew. I wasn’t afraid of the lies,
the secrets, or the hidden skeletons. That’s not what frightened me. I was afraid that one day they would come out, somebody would find out the truth. If I am the only one that knew the secrets, the lies, then they were safe, right?

It took several years for me to understand the impact of lies. Lies I told, secrets I kept, and the lives they controlled. One of the things I know to be true is I did the things I did for a reason, even if I didn’t know it at the time.

They all had a reason.

My name is Mack and this is my side of the story.

Erin's Review
I mulled over this review for a week or more because I honestly don't know how to do this story justice. My love of all things Jettie began with Underestimated and this book just solidified her top spot in my book.
The story is based on a secret. A big secret. A secret that destroyed lives. On top of that secret, Mack is keeping her own secret. One that she hides from the world. Trust me when I tell you, Jettie did her research on this topic. Mack is a beautiful tragedy waiting to happen. You feel everything she feels, her ups, her downs, her paranoia, her manic episodes...Mack was written to jump out of the pages at you, and my God does she ever. She hides her true self from everyone, everyone but HIM.
Her relationship with her parents is one every child would want. Not wanting for a thing, popular in school and how could things go wrong with her best friend Gianna at her side? We get to know the dynamic of the best friends relationship through Mack's perspective. Gianna the ringleader, Mack the one eager to be  accepted. She doesn't want anyone to know so she tries everything she can to be normal. Not even her parents know the true Mack.
She still struggles throughout her adulthood until the demons come back to haunt her sending her over a cliff of despair. This is where we get the full picture of the person Mack truly is.
The emotions Jettie rips out of you while reading this book will send you on a tailspin. Nothing is what it seems and the entire book had me mesmerized. I couldn't put it down. Get ready for the emotional ride of your life with this book.  If your tbr doesn't include this one, I have to question our friendship.
It is, by far, my top book of the year.

COVER REVEAL: Shhh... Mack's Side by Jettie Woodruff

As most of you know I am Jettie Woodruff, author of the Amazon bestselling Underestimated series. I also hate bios...
I am a lifelong writer, published for a couple years now. I write romance, erotica, and some dark erotica. The main thing people need to know about my writing is, I don't really write your normal, cliché, romance. I like to write on the edge where I like to keep my readers.
My main goal when I write is to pull every emotion possible from my readers. I want you to, laugh, feel sad, get pissed off, and be happy. I also like to make you question your morals. That is probably my aim more so than anything, make you fall in love with the bad guy. Sometimes I can pull it off and sometimes not so much. I guess it depends on your forte. I like to write about the bad boy, and have you fall in love with him.
I have always read, for as long as I can remember. My first taste of a dark read was VC Andrew's, Casteel series. I need to read that one again.
