REVIEW: Tamed (Tangled #3) by Emma Chase

Synopsis
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.

It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.

When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special—I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.

You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.

It’s how we got there.

TAMED goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions—it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.

Excerpt

She puts on the helmet, but doesn’t climb on the Ducati right away. She stands on the sidewalk, hands on her hips, looking thoughtfully at it. “What would you say if I said I wanted to drive your motorcycle to the party?”
“I’d say you’re shit out of luck. I don’t ride bitch.”
She knocks me upside the head—but my helmet softens the blow. “Then let me take it for a ride myself. Just around the block.”
“I . . .don’t think so.”
She pouts.
I sigh. “Have you ever driven a motorcycle before?”
“No, but I’ve always wanted to.”
“Well, I’ve always wanted to fly, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna strap on a squirrel suit and skydive from the god damn Empire State Building.”
She steps closer, and rubs her placating hands up my chest. “Come on, please? I’ll be really careful and grateful. Really grateful. Like . . .deviantly, let you handcuff me to the bed, kind of grateful.”
Forget the national broadcast system—this is the test. Am I going to stick to my man-guns, keep my pride, and protect my cherished vehicle from almost certain carnage? Or, am I going to be ruled by my dick and swayed by the promise of kinky, have-Dee-at-my-mercy-all-night-long, sex?
No contest.
“Riding bitch, it is.”

Erin's Review
I freaking love this series! Matthew and Dee's story takes place among the angst that was Drew and Kate, we just didn't get to see much of the action. Well, there's plenty of it in this book! We got a little bit of a behind the scenes look as well, remember Drew locking himself in his apartment for days? We find out just how The Bitch came to intervene.
Both Dee and Matthew are cut from the same cloth. Hit it and quit it is their motto. Dee gives Matthew a run for his money and neither are afraid to call the other one out on their shit. It's what made me love them actually. Matthew proves that he's just as much of a smooth talker as Drew, sometimes more. I can easily see why they are friends.
I would like to say Matthew and Dee's story is sweet but Dee would kick my ass. It's hot, steamy and romantic-see, not sweet :) It's the perfect companion to Drew and Kate's stories and I always wanted to know more about the guys that always have Drew's back. Let's not forget his leading lady. She's snarky, feisty and a ball of sexual tension Matthew just can't wait to unwind.
This book is perfect to get you out of any slump you may have found yourself in. It's funny, it's sexy and I couldn't put it down. Now the story I want to see is Steven and Alexandra's. I'm curious how she keeps him in line. I'm thinking whips and floggers and some sexy lingerie.
I'm a sucker for books that show you how the character's got their HEA, and this one was perfect. I love these characters and I love the series. Can't wait for Tied and I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Matt and Dee.

COVER REVEAL: TIED BY EMMA CHASE

The 4th installment of this beautifully written series is on it's way!! And it's from Drew's POV!! MORE DREW!! Without further ado, here is the cover for Tied!!

 SUMMARY
In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled

and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-
wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and
misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of…my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you’ve heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

REVIEW: Twisted by Emma Chase

Summary

Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is hard. In this heart-pounding follow-up to Tangled by New York Times bestseller Emma Chase, Kate reveals that there is trouble in paradise, when unexpected circumstances force her and Drew to "renegotiate" their relationship.

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself—and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice; the most important of my life. Drew already made hisin fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville, Ohio, alone. Well, sort of alone...

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead.

“Would you fucking stop! Why are you being like this?”

I glare up at him. “Because you don’t even care! I’m really upset here - and you don’t give a shit!”

His eyes open wide, incredulous.

“Of course I give a shit - I’m the one getting Jimmy Choos thrown at my head like Chinese freaking stars!”

“If you care so much, why don’t you apologize?!”

“Because I didn’t fucking do anything! I have no problem crawling on my hands and knees when I screw up. But if you think I’m gonna beg because you’ve been possessed by the Hormone Demon - you’re out of your mind sweetheart.”

Erin's Review
Twisted is told from Kate's pov and if you thought Drew was messed up? Hello Kate! In Tangled she appears this calm, cool, collected woman who Drew relentlessly pursues, in Twisted Kate is a mess.....thanks in part to Drew. I mean, come on, it isn't ALL his fault. The whole gang is back and Kate's ex Billy makes a big appearance, Drew couldn't have been happier. We get a glimpse in to Kate's past and realize that our cool as a cucumber heroine had a wild side.  Her bff Dee-Delores, is a trip. She is a balls to the wall, take no prisoners kind of gal. She had me roaring. We get a different side to Kate's ex that makes him very, don't tell Drew, likeable. He isn't the bad guy, he's the guy she left behind.
Drew, well, Drew messes up in typical Drew fashion and you hate him for it. This time he goes overboard. Waaaayyyyy overboard. I don't know how many times I wanted to reach through my Kindle and slap the shit out of him for doing what he did. Kate and Drew are like fire and ice. But in this case, I don't blame her for doing what she did. Like she said, sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead.
This book will bring you to tears more times than I could count, it did me anyway. It's a bit more emotional than Tangled but still has you laughing more than crying. And the ending?? LOVE IT!! Drew and Kate aren't perfect, but who is? Don't get discouraged about this book not being told from Drew's pov,  Kate tells it just as good, if not better than Drew does. And it's nice to get the girl's side just this one time. And Kate really needs her girls now more than ever.
If you loved Tangled, you are going to love Twisted and I cannot wait until Tamed and then we get more from Drew in Tied!
Emma Chase has shot up my list of favorite authors with these books. Loved them from the beginning to the end and I cannot wait for more.
