COVER REVEAL: Ethan Walker's Road To Wonderland (Road To Wonderland Series Book 3) by L.J. Stock

Book: Ethan Walker's Road to Wonderland
(Road to Wonderland Series #3)
by L.J. Stock
Genre: New Adult
Goodreads
Synopsis
At nineteen, the world has so many possibilities.

Ethan Walker was a typical teenager in that respect. He was happy, living at home with his family and partying when the mood struck. He was in no rush to grow up. His life was a blank page just waiting to be written, but that couldn’t last forever.

Unfortunately, reality came knocking at Ethan’s door, forcing him to face truths he’d never allowed himself to see in the past - truths that soon robbed him of his innocence and youth. With the life he’d always known gone forever, Ethan found himself battling demons in disguise, only to find his own weakness was his worst enemy.

When temptation turned to indulgence, and the ghosts of his past encouraged him to dig deeper, Ethan sought salvation in the form of violence. His fists and fortitude became his bread and butter, but the new turn in his life rejected the familiar and opened the door to more evil.

Inevitably, the darkness tried to sink him, and there was only one constant light that somehow seemed to shine brighter than the promise of escape: the mystery girl with the golden hair.

In order to survive, Ethan had to dig deep and find a strength in himself not even he was sure existed. Only when he found himself on a path to Wonderland did he start to see a future beyond his past. All he had to do to get there was learn to breathe and not get himself killed in the process.
**Book 3 in the Road to Wonderland Series, Ethan Walker can be read in conjunction with Izzy Moffit's Road to Wonderland by Victoria L. James and Paris Hemsworth's Road to Wonderland by Francesca Marlow or standalone.
About the Author
From a young age L.J. Stock was led by her imagination. From the moment she could read she fell into worlds where trees could talk and little girls could move things with their minds.
In no hurry to grow up, she found stories all around her, in the forests of Plym Bridge, the moss covered hills of Dartmoor, then, as she grew older, the wide spread city of Houston, where she currently resides and works. A constant daydreamer, she hopes that one day, her passion can become something more than just a hobby for her.
Still led by her imagination, the worlds have slowly grown from childish adventures to urban fantasies and romances. With inspirational authors such as Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Judy Blume, John Grisham and Stephen King guiding her through her life so far, L.J. Stock has finally decided that it is time for her to go for gold and try land herself on someone else’s future list of favorites.
Putting words on paper is as essential as breathing to her, but on the rare occasions that she isn’t writing, she can be found with a video game remote in hand or curled up on the couch with her pup and a good book. Music is also such an important part of her life, it’s a wonder there isn’t a background soundtrack playing wherever she goes.
A good girl to most, a bad girl to a few, L.J. believes that every genre should be attempted and is more than likely to have tried to release three hundred series’ ranging from vampires and werewolves, to dystopian and even classic romance, before she reaches even middle age. At least, that’s the plan for now.

My Review
This book was a pleasant surprise. What I thought was going to be a simple romance story where the girl is torn between two men, turned in to a story filled with mystery that will have you begging for answers.
I love Mia. She is sweet, kind and just an all around decent person. You want her to have the very best and you need things to work out for her, because she deserves it.
Nicholas was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Good looking with a devil may care attitude, he and Mia strike up a very unlikely friendship after he hits her car. Throughout their relationship, you see him change. But will he buck his family rules and obligations to pursue what he truly desires?
Dr. Xavier Young seems almost perfect for Mia. Brought up with similar backgrounds their relationship comes easy. But for me, there just didn't seem the spark that she had with Nick. Xavier seemed to be the safe choice. But he certainly wouldn't be a wrong one. This guy is a true gentleman.
The supporting characters round out the cast, from the eccentric old neighbor-who I LOVE-, vengeful ex's and family secrets, Majestic Pearls is a must read for any lover of romantic suspense.
A solid 4 star read for me and I cannot wait to see how things unfold in the next book, Binding Ties.

Author Bio
Not to stray from the common Author cliché, I loved to read as a child – I actually excelled in reading from a young age.  This was definitely to my advantage.  In saying that I only enjoyed reading “happily ever after stories.”
As I grew older my pleasures turned to “teen romance stories” with the obvious transition being heavy love stories and of course Jackie Collins’ novels.
Then due to relationship and work commitments my reading all but ceased until my children were at an age where I could steal and hour or two (which then became an hour or four).
A few years ago I discovered the Twilight Saga, this kept my thoroughly entertained for years as I read and re-read numerous times… Enter 50 Shades.  I think the fact that these books were written by amateur writers stirred something inside of me.
A few years ago my dear mother passed away, I became really lost —books became my saviour.  They took me to a very special place … away from reality.   One night I had this dream, it was so vivid in my mind that when I awoke it was fresh and alive.  It just kept growing and growing and that’s when Majestic Pearls was born.  I've not looked back since.
Music is my passion, I love it! Though it needs to be genre’s from the fifties through to the eighties.  Everything I do is done to music from my writing through to my housework—it soothes my soul.
I also have full time duties with my husband (fourth child) and our family business and three sons which all keeps me on my toes, there’s never a dull moment around my house.
Living in the beautiful Melbourne Australia, we have an abundance of restaurants and café’s which is my other passion … coffee dates with my wild and wacky high school friends … after thirty plus years we still catch up regularly and have a wild time.  All of these people and my large family form my circle … a circle that I love and are thankful to have.

BLOG TOUR: Paris Hemsworth's Road To Wonderland (RTWBook 2) by Francesca Marlow

Book: Paris Hemworth’s Road to Wonderland
Author: Francesca Marlow
Genre: New Adult
Synopsis
‘Paris Hemsworth’s Road To Wonderland’ is the second novel in a new adult series, which tells the tale of a seventeen-year-old girl's tragedy. A tragedy that steers her down an unlikely path full of twists and turns. Paris is a naive, feisty fashionista who floats, carefree, through her life in 1990’s Manchester, thanks to her three great loves: her father, her best friend, and her motorbike. Izzy Moffit is a shy, quiet, literature lover who has been surrounded by violence daily, seeking solace in movies and music. The two are an unlikely duo, but since the age of four, they have been inseparable, always promising to be there for each other no matter what.
That is until one day Paris receives heart-shattering news which turns her life upside-down. Suddenly, their friendship is tested in ways it never has before, and just when things are starting to look up for them, adulthood steps in and kicks them both in unimaginable ways. Paris is forced into a life full of fear, guilt and doubt, which sees her evolve from the feisty, fun young girl she once was into something she never thought she’d be. Weak. Having hit rock bottom, Paris is left with two options: climb the ladder back up or continue to swim in the sea of despair. The first option is easier said than done when you have no hope or faith left, when the loves of your life have all moved on, and you think you’re alone in the world. In the war against addiction, Paris knows it is only a matter of time before something has to give, but she is unable to predict at what cost.

Author Bio
Francesca is a self-confessed drifter, never quite fitting in anywhere until she discovered the love of reading two years ago. Books proved to be non-judgemental, loyal and thought provoking, so much so that she was inspired to create her own world. A world where she could channel her every day thoughts and emotions to deal with the daily grind which we call ‘life’. Francesca’s biggest accomplishments to date are the two little ladies that share her heart, closely followed by the one thing she is very proud to say: “I wrote a bloody novel!” She’s a Yorkshire lass and a secret romantic at heart, with an eclectic taste in music and a great love for films - all of which continue to be a source of creativity as well as well deserved relaxation moments.

My Review
I adore these books. This is one of the most well written series I have ever had the privilege to review.
It is emotional, witty, beautifully written and you feel every ounce of pain and suffering that Paris does. Francesca does an outstanding job at pouring Paris's emotions on to the pages and putting the reader in the front seat of the roller coaster.
It's books like this that make you think. They make you delve beneath the surface of someone and even then you have to wonder, how well do you know them? How well do you know your best friend, mother, father? Everyone has a cross to bear, some just hold the weight better than others.
I love that each book is written by a different author. It gives each character a fresh perspective and each book holds true the one before it.
I am so thankful that I came upon this tour and got to read this wonderful book.  I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Prologue
Susan stepped off the Greyhound bus and inhaled deeply, taking in the crisp winter air.  Almost immediately, she began to shiver in response to the sub-freezing temperature outside. She pulled down on her wool hat so it completely covered her ears, only leaving an inch or two of her newly cut and dyed hair exposed.  She slung her duffel bag over her shoulder and headed towards the street, pushing herself through the sea of people streaming in the opposite direction.
Keeping her head down in fear of being recognized, she double-checked the address she had hurriedly scribbled down on a piece of paper before leaving her house that morning.  She knew she was being paranoid and was unlikely to be recognized by anyone there, but one can never be too careful – something she knew she would need to remember now that she was all alone in the big city.
Sadly, it wasn’t her parents whom she worried would come looking for her.  They would probably be relieved to read the note that she left behind, absolving them of all responsibility for her well-being. They likely wouldn’t even realize she was gone until one of the maids found her note, which made clear that she did not want to be found.
Susan stopped in front of a small stone building, nestled between two daunting office towers.  Even in the busyness of the downtown streets, her destination looked welcoming – something for which she felt very thankful since it would be her home for some time.  The front door swung open and she quickly stepped to the side, allowing a girl who looked a couple of years younger than Susan pass.  The girl’s belly looked like it was about to burst and, with the help of two other women, she got into a waiting taxi. Susan instinctively touched her own belly and reveled in the thought that, in a number of months, she would be just like that girl.  As she watched the taxi’s taillights disappear down the street, she rubbed her belly and whispered to her unborn child, “This is it little one.  Today we start our new life together, just you and me.  If you are a girl, I'm going to name you Phoebe. And if you are a boy…well I’m not quite sure yet, thankfully I have some time to figure that out.  But most importantly, I pray that I will be enough for you…” Her voice trailed off as she opened the door and stepped into her new life.
