Thanks to Tasty Book Tours and Melissa Foster for continuing to provide the opportunity to read and review another great book by Melissa Foster.   If you have been following this blog, you know I have read them from the beginning and I am addicted.  I regularly email Melissa Foster with my initial reactions to the book because I love her responses.  This one was no different. This book was more emotional for me to read than the others, but it was just as amazing.

Dex is the kind of guy that I hope to find one day.  He is a popular and successful video game creator.  On a night out with coworkers and one of his brother's, he sees a blast from his past and she owns his heart.  Ellie is the woman that stole his heart when they were teenagers, then broke his heart when she left with no reason why.  Watching Dex reconnect with Ellie and discover why she reacted the way she did and why she continues to react the same way is what made me fall in love with Dex's character.

Ellie had a bad upbringing when her mother died and her father disappeared.  When she is in the foster care system, she ends up being in the same school as  Dex and has a friendship with him that Dex's mom describes as "one half of each other's soul".  Ellie returns to NYC after some bad information came to light about the guy she was seeing.

What happens when Dex makes Ellie face her past? What happens when Dex finds out more about Ellie's past? What does Dex think when he realizes that his parents knew?  Many of these are answered in this story, but you really should read it since I am not giving anything away!
